about

It is the biggest ever con, on all of mankind. To control the means of public opinion is to manufacture consent. They buy and sell your future the price of which depends on you!

lyrics

(Speech 1)

Number 5 The Common Enemy:
To manufacture consent, you need an enemy — a target anomaly, an other that harms the free. That takes many forms: Red Dawn’s. Terror Horn’s. Refugees forlorn. A bogeyman to heck, keeps public opinion in check.

(4.I.S Rap)

For the weaponised Woke
And political folk
Better recognise rope
It’s a noose bespoke
Choose your move
we’re morally broke
this is what they do
with mirrors and smoke
struth con-poser
in an Ownership cloak
sit back, have a crack
profits on a stroke

The denominator lowest
Its the Fourth estate psychosis
Where the papers gonna focus
democratic prognosis
Feel the vibes they theorise
for ya tribe you realise
let it lie, don’t criticise
to demonize its legalised

(Speech 2)

Flak back on the right track til it’s matt black; you want to challenge power, you’ll be pushed to the margins. Whether it’s the – journalists, whistleblowers, sources – stray away from the consensus, they all get ‘flak’. When the story’s inconvenient for the powers that be, you’ll see the flak machine in action with the power of three; there is nothing to see here, unless we say so!

(Chorus)

Its the enemy of your culture
yeah the story never ends
yeah they buy and sell your future
yeah the price of which depends
on you on you dont you know dont you know
on you on you dont you know dont you know
on you on you dont you know dont you know

(Speech 3)

The 1% manages the media through the third stream. Journalism cannot be a check on power, that’s a dream. This very system encourages complicity. Governments, corporations, institutions know how to play the media with profligacy. They influence the news narrative. They feed media scoops, official accounts, interviews with imperative. They make themselves viable, journalistic hijacking undeniable. Power and its report, too much hypocrisy to retort.

(jerryfromthearea Rap)

It started with the story line
where the glory lies in an ism
And all the time
They were busy fabricating prisons
So forget what you heard about
when the press spread the word around
We Use that scrutiny
build that immunity

Ignoring opportunities for unity
Confusing me its lunacy
They usually just
Use fear brutally

Rule by
divide its
designed in
disguises
the fools plight to align would equal people demise
Lies hypnotize
Switch on to switch off
Put your mind in a box for the night
bright lights and sound bites to recite
they regurgitate the hate for the likes
And you do the same

Your addicted but a victim
Im not calling it blame
Click bait we fixate
Installed in the brain
See Its continual subliminal
conditioning we’re listening
belittling research for virtue signalling

(Speech 4)

Ownership is first. Mass media firms are fat corporations. Part of an even fatter conglomerate. Their end game? Profit. Their interests? profit. Naturally, critical journalism must take second place to the needs and interests of the fat cats in tall hats. Why? Cause they’re manufacturing consent!

(jerryfromthearea Rap)

So its easy to believe what you read then
earn a dollar that makes sense
Learn about the system
It was round long before you came into existence
And you just wanna go the distance

Im just tryna point out what you’re failing to see
How the medias exploiting the Australian dream
It’s a topic we’re avoiding
And I know its disappointing but
You’ve been sold a lie to hide the side that they cover up

World spinning, clock ticking
picking up where you left off
This is your kids beginning
Will they be forgiving
Will they even know what they’re missing
Brought up in a world where
They’re caught up in a complex

billionaires pick the context
They look up and ask whats next
How do you respond best
So open up the war chest
Let history do the rest

(Chorus)

Yeah the enemy of your culture
yeah the story never ends
yeah they buy and sell your future
yeah the price of which depends
on you!
